1) Tamil Heritage Month Opening Ceremony

An evening launch event to celebrate the start of Tamil Heritage Month. Tamil Heritage Month aims to celebrate the history of Canada’s Tamil community and its contribution to the social, cultural, political and economic strength of Canada through the coordination of multiple community events and social initiatives. While recognizing our accomplishments and tracing our roots, the Tamil Heritage Month Council will provide opportunities to celebrate Tamils’ history in Canada. Refreshments will be provided, along with the great opportunity to learn and network with fellow leaders and organizations within the Tamil Community in the GTA.

2) Artistic Careers Youth Sessions

A leadership learning series for Tamil high school youth to learn about Tamil Heritage month and different Tamil leaders within various artistic fields of work. Volunteer hours will be provided to those youth that attend. Speakers will be providing an informational and interactive seminar to registered attendees. It is an invaluable opportunity to learn more about the educational and business resources, networking, journey through careers in performing arts, film and media, and visual arts. Conducted by OurTYM’s Leadership Series for high-school youth.

3) Tamil Talents: Launch & Artists Brunch

A special Networking & Resource Sharing Brunch, highlighting the vibrant talents and contributions of Tamil artists in the GTA. A great chance to discover career growth opportunities, learn about funding and marketing resources, and celebrate the launch of our Offcial Artists Directory!
Join us on Saturday, January 25th from 10:30am – 1:00pm, at the Canadian Tamils’ Chamber of Commerce, for an inspiring event dedicated to empowering Tamil artists with opportunities and resources to grow and thrive.

4) Seniors Got Talent

After 4 years of competing virtually, our talented Tamil Seniors will be showcasing their artistic talents. Join us as we come together to celebrate many Senior organizations coming together to compete at the 5th Annual Seniors Got Talent.

5) Tamil Vizha

An evening of performances, tributes, and celebrations of Tamil history and present growth. This event will be a form of entertainment and education in hopes to bring the community together.

6) Celebrating Tamil Youth Excellence: 30 Under 30

An exclusive dinner reception celebrating the outstanding achievements and leadership of the young Tamil community. This event will honour 30 exceptional community leaders under the age of 30, acknowledging their dedication, contributions, and impact within their respective fields.

In the presence of elected officials and distinguished guests, this reception aims to foster connections, inspire future initiatives, and showcase the vibrant talent and innovation within our community. Be part of this professional and inspiring evening dedicated to recognising excellence and cultivating leadership for a brighter future.
