Tamil Heritage Month Opening Ceremony

An evening launch event to celebrate the start of Tamil Heritage Month. Tamil Heritage Month aims to celebrate the history of Canada’s Tamil community and its contribution to the social, cultural, political and economic strength of Canada through the coordination of multiple community events and social initiatives. While recognizing our accomplishments and tracing our roots, the Tamil Heritage Month Council will provide opportunities to celebrate Tamils’ history in Canada. Refreshments will be provided, along with the great opportunity to learn and network with fellow leaders and organizations within the Tamil Community in the GTA.

Thamil Vizha ft. Seniors got talent

An evening of performances, tributes, and celebrations of Tamil history and present growth. This event will be a form of entertainment and education in hopes to bring the community together.

Celebrating Tamil Youth Excellence: 30 Under 30

An exclusive dinner reception celebrating the outstanding achievements and leadership of the young Tamil community. This event will honour 30 exceptional community leaders under the age of 30, acknowledging their dedication, contributions, and impact within their respective fields.

In the presence of elected officials and distinguished guests, this reception aims to foster connections, inspire future initiatives, and showcase the vibrant talent and innovation within our community. Be part of this professional and inspiring evening dedicated to recognising excellence and cultivating leadership for a brighter future.

Youth Series

This January, join us for the THM 2026 Youth Series, a 2-part virtual learning experience exploring this year’s Tamil Heritage Month theme through history, geography, and the stories that shape Tamil identity.

Across two interactive Zoom sessions, participants will dive into the ancestral homelands of Tamil Nadu and Tamil Eelam, engage with guest speakers, take part in fun Kahoot activities, and connect with other youth passionate about culture, identity, and community.
